Indian Airstrikes Hit Key Locations Across Pakistan and Pakistan-Administered Kashmir
According to Pakistani military sources, India carried out strikes on five locations across Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, marking a significant escalation in tensions between the two neighboring countries.
The targeted areas include Kotli, Ahmadpur East, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, and Muridke. Among them, Ahmadpur East and Muridke stand out due to their location within Pakistan’s Punjab province—territory well within Pakistan’s internationally recognized borders.
These latest airstrikes represent the first Indian military action inside Pakistani territory since 2019. Back then, Indian fighter jets launched cross-border attacks in response to a deadly suicide bombing that claimed the lives of at least 40 Indian paramilitary personnel. That operation was especially notable as it marked India’s first strike inside Pakistan’s undisputed territory since the 1971 war.
Now, India has once again crossed that critical threshold.
Meanwhile, Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Bagh are located in Pakistan-administered Kashmir—a rugged, mountainous region long contested by both nations. The area has witnessed repeated clashes and military engagements over the years, reflecting the deep-rooted and ongoing conflict surrounding the Kashmir issue.
